Canon Status: Canon FicIf someone had told her a year ago that that is where she would find herself, she would have never believed them. A year ago she still believed that her affections were one sided, that Nanu would never love her in return. But there she was, and there he was, back pressed against her chest, stomach rising and falling with sleep, and his hair a tousled mess.Delaney moved from petting his arm to run her nails through said tousled hair. The action made the older man inhale reply, but regardless of that he stayed asleep. The grey in his temples was starting to spread, leaving stark streaks against the otherwise raven colour. He worried sometimes that it was making him look too old, but she honestly loved it. Though it was a little concerning that he might be far more stressed than he let on. But that was a thought for another time.

Canon Status: Canon FicHis life is quiet these days. Francis Felwinter, a man closing in on his fifties, had previously been an Interpol Officer; and a damned good one at that. He’d been quite the high ranking agent, barely below their chief, but after a life of traveling and stressful nights, he was honestly happy to just…stay home. He still taught classes to the rookies at the academy on occasion, but he was plenty happy to leave the days of late night cases behind him.At least…he thought that he was. As he stood at the stove, stirring the base of tomorrow night’s dinner, he frowned; his mind racing. Having so much time to himself, alone even if he wasn’t really alone, he often got lost in thought; about his past, his decisions. He looked to the living room where a couple of his pokemon were asleep on the couch. They looked so peaceful.Coats and shoes were strewn about by the entryway from the other residents of his home; his husband…and their two grown children. It was still strange to think about them as his children from time to time. He’d always wanted them, but never had the chance. Bishop and Delaney treated him no differently than if he’d always been their father though

Just kind of hard to name someone you’ve never met yet, y’know?” The two of them sighed, watching the sun cast a warm glow out over the water as it rose. Not every morning was so quiet, but it was always appreciated when it was. Delaney let out a quiet noise when Nanu slowly let their belly back down. A bit of the tension in their back was gone for the time being. They knew it wouldn’t last, but the help was appreciated nonetheless. “Should probably start getting ready for work,” Nanu grumbled, and instead of moving away tucked his nose back into their neck to breathe.Delaney let out a soft laugh when his breath tickled their flesh, but didn’t move either. They were too comfortable. So, for a moment longer, they stayed, pressed with their back against the man, feeling the way his chest rose and fell, listening to his grumbling, and feeling his warmth. Before they could think too much about it and get any more riled up, they felt Nanu shift and slowly move away.
